“Care~n~Share” for public land recreation sites.  That’s what 55 volunteers did on Saturday, March 21st, 2026.  They gathered on the Tillamook State Forest at North Fork Wolf Creek Rd Target Shooting Lanes with one goal in mind… To show respect and appreciation for recreational target shooting on public lands.  And yes, they delivered that promise!

Crew 1 Traveled down Salmonberry Road and cleaned several shooting sites along that road.

Crew 2 Went up North Fork Wolf Creek Road and cleaned sites there.

Crew 3 Cleaned up all four target shooting lanes at the Wolf Creek Shooting Lanes.

Crew 4 Got rid of the graffiti from the firing lines and boulders.

Crew 5 Installed all new signs on the four kiosk bulletin boards at the lanes (the signs cost $300 and was covered by one individual, John U, with his donation of $300!).

They filled a 30 cubic yard dumpster, provided by donations from several volunteers before the event ($740 raised for the dumpster!).

All crews were done by noon and enjoyed a $450 appreciation lunch, graciously provided by Farmers Insurance Beaverton, Robert Hollister owner (several extra sandwiches were donated to the Salvation Army in Washougal, WA).

After lunch, everyone won free raffle prizes and some won their bids on a small silent auction.  The auction was to benefit towards the upcoming improvements at the Wolf Creek Shooting Lanes later this summer.  They donated a total of $1005 to help toward the improvement project!  More about the improvement project below.

When the event concluded, they all enjoyed sharing in the ‘After Party’!

So yes, they ‘Cared~n~Shared’ for our places to shoot on public lands!  Thank you to all volunteers!

Upcoming Improvements to Wolf Creek Shooting Lanes

Let’s do this!     Summer of 2026!

Lane 1:  Extend the shooting yardage from 34 yards to 100 yards!

Lane 2:  Extend from 24 yards to 75!

Lane 3:  Stay the same at 60 yards and the 16 yard pistol berm.

Lane 4:  Extend from 80 yards to 100 yards!

All 4 Lanes:  Add a gravel pathway for wheelchair access from firing line to backstop!

All 4 Lanes:  Create a 10 foot fire break line around each lane and remove dead & burnt trees and shrubs (provided by ODF)!

These improvements will cost Trash No Land $27,000 in contractor excavation, equipment and gravel material.  That is the amount we need to raise through grants and public funding.

TNL has applied for grants from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Oregon Hunting Heritage Grant and a local private foundation.  If those grants are approved, we will still need an additional $5000 to finish the project.  That’s where our fundraiser efforts are focused.

We need your help to raise the $5k!  We are currently planning a fundraising event scheduled for June 20th, 2026, from 1 PM to 4 PM.  Please join us at the Wendel Museum of Animal Conservation in Vancouver, WA, and bid heavily on the auctions items!  Be sure to buy plenty of raffle tickets for lots of great products.  You’ll enjoy the World Class taxidermy displays of wildlife from all over the world, live music, snacks, great conversations and a little speaking engagement fun.

Our official announcement of this event is coming soon, so sign up to our ‘Blog’ subscription and be notified by email when we post it.  (Blog subscription link is on the right side of this page).
