It was a great day for Central Oregon on April 8th!

Thanks to the efforts of Public Land Stewards – Bend and all the volunteers who gave their time & talents, the Deschutes National Forest, along the China Hat Road area, is much cleaner than it was the day before.

An estimated 60,000 lbs of trash was removed by close to 200 volunteers!  In addition, 5,000 lbs of scrap metal and 2,000 lbs of hazmat & tires!  Still, 4 dumpsters are yet to be weighed!

But that’s not all!

On April 7th, local businesses came to the aid of the cause and removed 37 abandoned vehicles, campers and RV’s!  The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Dept checked and tagged each vehicle prior to removal.

The efforts, organization, business and community team work was amazing!

Trash No Land participated in this event by sponsoring a cleanup at Cabin Butte.  The volunteers who joined us did a great job and we really appreciate the generous donation of their time and talents!  THANK YOU!!!

Video’s coming soon from several organizations!
